Online Classes: I develop and teach 2-12 week online classes for your organization. Topics include communication & team work, genealogy research basics, business outreach, digital stories, community engagement, marketing, and building a professional brand. Portfolio includes classes for University of Wisconsin’s Continuing Education, Infopeople, Library Juice Academy, PreserveThis, Reaching Across Illinois Library Systems, and American Library Association.
University Classes: I have been an instructor for undergraduate and graduate students for 5 years. Topics include services to underrepresented populations, information organization & access, public libraries, business services, reference, administration & management, marketing, and programming. I have received certificates in online teaching and learning skills and have worked with three universities.
Webinars: I develop and lead 60-90 minute webinars on topics curated for your organization. Past topics include disinformation, reproductive health information, marketing, infographics, storytelling, business librarianship, community engagement, and embedded librarianship. Portfolio includes webinars with PCI Webinars, Infopeople, Reaching Across Illinois Library Systems, American Library Association, Federal Depository Library Program, and Library Journal.
Speaking/Training: I am available for 30- 60 minute sessions to your organization or conference on a specific topic. I have spoken to small businesses, library groups, community colleges, and at conferences in Illinois, Wisconsin, New Jersey, North Carolina, Colorado, California, Florida, Minnesota, Texas, and Missouri.
Strategy Sessions: I love working with small businesses, non-profits, and libraries to help them refine their social media presence, create outreach strategies, and develop community relationships. I am available for 30-60 minute sessions to review your processes and provide recommendations.
